The 80MD120Y1.5 is an ultra-high-speed internal and micro grinding spindle engineered for the most demanding precision grinding applications involving very small bores, miniature components, and micro-features. Operating at an extraordinary 120,000 r/min with 1.5 kW of power from an ultra-high-frequency motor, this spindle achieves the wheel surface speeds required for effective grinding with micro-diameter mounted points and grinding quills up to 6mm.

P2-grade ceramic hybrid angular contact ball bearings with silicon nitride (Si3N4) balls -- the highest precision bearing class available -- ensure exceptional rotational accuracy with runout of just 0.5 micron at the spindle nose. The ceramic hybrid construction provides superior thermal stability, reduced friction, and extended bearing life at extreme speeds compared to all-steel bearings. A dedicated oil-air cooling circuit manages the thermal environment within the compact 80mm housing. Weighing only 8 kg, the 80MD120Y1.5 integrates into high-precision jig grinding machines, coordinate grinding machines, CNC internal grinding machines, and specialized micro-machining centers.
