The 511 series is the most compact and economical thrust ball bearing type. Single-direction design with flat housing washer handles pure axial loads in one direction. Ideal for vertical shaft supports, steering columns, and general industrial machinery where axial space is limited.
Compact Axial Support for Light-Duty Industrial Applications
Luoyang Songju 511 series extra-light thrust ball bearings are manufactured from GCr15 bearing steel in our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility. The flat housing washer design provides the most compact axial profile of any thrust bearing type — enabling integration into space-constrained assemblies where every millimeter of height matters.
The separable design (shaft washer, housing washer, and ball-cage assembly are independent components) simplifies mounting and disassembly. The shaft washer has a precision-ground bore for interference fit on the shaft, while the housing washer bore is clearance-fit for easy assembly.
511 series bearings are available in bore sizes from 10mm to 500mm, with pressed steel cages as standard. Machined brass cage variants (suffix M) are available for elevated temperature applications. For applications requiring axial location in both directions, consider pairing two 511 bearings or selecting a 522 series double-direction bearing.
