The massive cross-section — with washer thicknesses and ball diameters far exceeding 511/512/513 series — enables the 514 series to handle the most extreme axial loads encountered in industrial and civil engineering applications.
Each 514 bearing is a precision-engineered assembly of thick, through-hardened GCr15 steel washers with a heavy ball complement in a robust pressed steel or machined brass cage. The flat housing washer design maintains simple, reliable geometry — there are no rolling elements to skid, no complex geometries to fail. Pure axial load, pure reliability.
Standard bore range covers 25mm to 360mm. Machined brass cages (M suffix) are standard for sizes above 51410 — providing the robust ball guidance required for the large ball diameters and high contact forces characteristic of this series.
