CS Series
Crossed Roller Linear Guideway
The pinnacle of rigidity in compact linear motion. Crossed cylindrical rollers in 90-degree alternating pattern on precision-ground V-groove raceways deliver the highest stiffness-to-volume ratio of any guideway technology.
CS Series Crossed Roller Linear Guideway
The CS Series crossed roller linear guideway represents the pinnacle of rigidity in compact linear motion. By arranging cylindrical rollers in a crossed (90-degree alternating) pattern between precision-ground V-groove raceways, the CS design provides the highest stiffness-to-volume ratio of any guideway technology. Each roller contacts the raceway along its full length, distributing loads across line contact for unparalleled rigidity.
Unlike recirculating designs, CS guideways operate with a limited stroke caged roller arrangement where the roller cage advances at half the speed of the moving element. This eliminates roller-to-roller friction and provides smooth, predictable motion. The compact cross-section makes CS guideways ideal where space is constrained but rigidity demands are absolute -- precision stages, optical tables, measurement equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing tools.

Why Choose CS Crossed Roller Guideways
The CS Series delivers the highest stiffness-to-volume ratio of any guideway technology, making it the definitive choice for precision motion in space-constrained applications.
Ultra-High Rigidity
Line contact across the full roller length on V-groove raceways delivers maximum stiffness per unit volume -- unmatched by any other guideway topology.
Zero Clearance Option
Available with zero-clearance preload for applications requiring absolute positional certainty with zero lost motion or backlash.
Compact Form Factor
The crossed roller architecture minimizes stack height and cross-section, enabling integration into the tightest machine envelopes without sacrificing performance.
Smooth Cage Motion
The cage advances at exactly half the table speed, eliminating roller-to-roller friction for smooth, predictable, and hysteresis-free motion.
Line Contact Loading
Full-length cylindrical roller contact on precision-ground V-groove raceways distributes loads uniformly, minimizing localized stress and maximizing service life.
Maintenance-Free Cage
The non-recirculating cage design with brass or engineered polymer construction requires no periodic roller replacement, reducing long-term maintenance costs.
